Welcome to my 2015 NanoWrimo NIP!
November means National Novel Writer's Month here in the PNW and this blog will be dedicated to the ecstacy and agony of what is affectionately known as NaNoWriMo. Within the next thirty days a novel will be written. Doubtfully a great literary masterpiece but 30 days, 50,000 words...maybe a laugh or two amongst the hairpulling and shot nerves. If you put 100 monkeys at typewriters in a room for 100 years...well...we've only got 30 days...should be interesting...
NIP; that's "Novel In Progress" and we are getting ready for the kick-off on Nov. 1st! :)
Looking forward to the good the bad and the ugly this year and I'm sure I'll have lots of bad & ugly but I'm hoping hoping hoping there'll be a lot of good as well. Of course the old adage is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but as my granny is fond of saying, you can gold plate a turd but in the end it's just a turd...here's hoping there's more gold than the other over the next month.
Buckle up, put your crash helmets on and know the ride is going to be bumpy but ah...what a rush!

- Life in a small coastal town was: Lovely, interesting, different, fun...and at times...weird. And we loved every minute of it. We moved (it's been over a year now...wow!)from the deep dark woods to a tiny town on the edge of the emerald forests of the PNW coast back to a sleepy little lake community. I am the single parent of three young/almost adults and all of us are busy enjoying our new location and settling in to life back at the lake.
